About The Position

The Master Level Automotive Technician is responsible for performing advanced car maintenance and repair tasks, inspecting vehicles for potential problems, and troubleshooting issues to ensure the vehicle is performing appropriately and the customer is taken care of. This position emphasizes teamwork and a willingness to succeed in a high-volume environment. The company has been growing consistently since 1990, with locations across several states including Colorado, Wyoming, Arizona, Texas, Nebraska, and Iowa. The role offers a paid weekly structure with an hourly guarantee.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years in automotive repair services
• Engine/diagnostic experience in a professional capacity
• Must have expired or current ASE Certifications
• Must have a minimum of $25,000 in technician tools
• Available to commute 45 minutes to the Iowa City shop
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to operate and drive vehicles
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background screen
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Application of in-depth automotive repair knowledge
• Perform skilled mechanical work while analyzing and diagnosing problems
• Inspect, replace and/or repair defective parts
• Perform preventative maintenance on automobiles
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques
• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the company’s vision, mission, and core values
• Work as a team and independently
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
