Global Dimensions is seeking Master HVAC Technicians for upcoming opportunities at Fort Belvoir, VA and Springfield, VA. The role involves performing inspections on HVAC systems and components to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs, and recommend or perform preventive maintenance. The technician will track performance of routine and preventative maintenance, troubleshoot HVAC/R systems, respond to service calls, and produce reports regarding malfunctioning equipment. The position requires installation, repair, and maintenance of large commercial and industrial HVAC systems, as well as working with engineering personnel to discuss plans and modifications. The technician will also perform design, modification, maintenance, and repair of critical environmental systems within Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs). This role may involve periodic worldwide deployments and requires a TS/SCI Security Clearance.

  • Perform inspections on HVAC systems and components to evaluate condition and recommend or perform preventive maintenance.
  • Track performance of routine and preventative maintenance to ensure availability of HVAC systems.
  • Troubleshoot HVAC/R systems with complex problems and extensive repairs.
  • Respond to service calls and preventive maintenance inspections, producing reports through computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Diagnose causes of problems and failures in HVAC systems.
  • Install, repair, and maintain large commercial and industrial ventilation, refrigeration, air conditioning, and cooling systems.
  • Independently perform recurring work on HVAC equipment.
  • Work with engineering personnel to discuss plans and modifications.
  • Perform design, modification, maintenance, and repair of critical environmental systems within SCIFs.
  • Provide expert technical assistance for a 24-hour operational environment.
  • Respond to off-duty calls to support critical system outages.
  • Support US Army systems on site and deploy to other countries for technical support.
  • College, Vocational School, or High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 10 years of education and experience leading to licensure as a Master HVAC, or equivalent licensure or certification at a State level.
  • 12 years of experience in equivalent Military HVAC training/certification.
  • Possess EPA 608 Type II (or Universal) or North American Technician Excellence (NATE) certification.
  • Ability to maneuver in small spaces and lift 50lbs.
  • Specific experience in fault isolation and resolution of tactical and strategic environmental systems.
  • Ability to plan, install, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and systems not fully covered by technical manuals.
  • 4 years of experience with HVAC control and monitoring systems.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Expert level experience in design, installation, and sustainment of computer-controlled environmental systems.
