About The Position

Beretta U.S.A. is seeking an expert Master Gunsmith to perform advanced firearm diagnostics, repair, custom fitting, restoration, and craftsmanship across a wide range of Beretta firearm platforms. This role is critical to delivering world‑class service quality, supporting engineering and quality teams, and maintaining the exceptional performance standards expected of Beretta products. Reporting to the Firearms Service Manager, the Master Gunsmith will handle complex mechanical issues, fabricate parts when needed, and ensure every firearm leaving the service department meets exacting performance, safety, and precision requirements.

Requirements

  • Certification from a recognized Gunsmithing school or advanced equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of professional firearm repair, rework, or custom gunsmithing
  • Expert-level understanding of firearm mechanics and component interaction
  • Strong knowledge of ammunition types and proper application
  • High attention to detail with precise and safe work habits
  • Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing
  • Computer competency, including work‑order systems
  • Skilled use of gunsmithing tools, machines, and equipment
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Ability to work weekends when needed and respond to emergencies
  • Willingness and ability to travel, including by plane
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced repairs on all Beretta models, including SO, SL, and DT platforms
  • Diagnose firearm issues when customers cannot clearly articulate the problem
  • Travel to outside vendors independently for repair work as needed
  • Restore and finish wood stocks and forends using expert knowledge of wood characteristics
  • Troubleshoot firearms for warranty and service evaluations
  • Support the Quality Assurance team with engineering changes and product modifications
  • Assess firearm condition and determine repair requirements
  • Break down, repair, fit, and reassemble firearms with precision craftsmanship
  • Fabricate or modify parts, including components for obsolete models
  • Order parts, prepare repair quotes, and close out repair records in the system
  • Clean and service firearms used at demos, shows, or by customer request
  • Maintain a clean, safe workspace, tools, and equipment
  • Answer technical questions internally and externally
  • Assist in training new hires and supporting armorer classes
  • Travel to shoots or demonstrations for on‑site repair/maintenance support
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
