About The Position

The spa’s Esthetician responsibility is to deliver excellence in quality Spa services to guests/visitors in a timely, courteous and efficient manner. Escort clients to and from treatment rooms, attending to any immediate needs throughout their Spa visit. Assist in providing information to any inquiries and help coordinate all guest requests for services. Actively promote Spa Retail products and sales.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must have completed esthetics training existing clientele.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a luxury spa/resort setting.
  • Excellent guest service delivery.
  • Knowledge of skincare, waxing and Make Up treatments and products.
  • One to three years experience in a similar position in the Spa/Salon industry.
  • Ability to pleasantly communicate with proper grammar.
  • Ability to provide legible communication.
  • Basic knowledge of computers.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Tribal Work Permit.
  • Certified in Basic First Aid and CPR
  • State cosmetology license is required
  • Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST) certification.
  • Available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Hepatitis B shots.
  • Requires the ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 15 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand up to 6 hours per day.
  • Requires standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Speaking and listening occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests and co-workers.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to work cohesively with other departments and co-workers as part of a team.
  • Ability to access data in computer.
  • Start and end facial treatments on time.
  • Inquire about any contraindications before beginning service.
  • Set up work station with necessary supplies. Maintain cleanliness throughout shift.
  • Maintain supplies and products; secure after each shift.
  • Accommodate all guest requests expediently and courteously. Follow up to ensure completion of request.
  • Handle guest complaints and ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness of Spa.
  • Dispose of any dirty linens to the proper area.
  • Perform any task deemed necessary by management
  • Complete requisitions for additional supplies/materials and submit to Spa Management.
  • Attend all required meetings and training sessions.
  • Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians- State of Washington Gaming Compact, Internal Controls, NIGC Regulations and Northern Quest Policies and Procedures.
  • Request and lead training.
  • Develop/revise protocols as needed.
  • Inventory supplies.
  • Place orders for functional area.
  • Track professional product expirations
  • Maintain training logs as training is done.
  • Responsible for maintaining a good attendance record.
  • May be required to be a panelist for the Internal Review Hearings.
  • Support the Spa Director and Spa Manager in day-to-day spa operations ensuring maintenance of our Forbes Four Star Rating, support of our Core Purpose and Core Values, efficient operations, positive team morale and revenue maximization within the Esthetics team and the greater spa team as a whole.
  • Assume Manager-on-Duty responsibilities one (1) day per week to include covering for call-ins, vacations, illness as a Spa Concierge and/or Spa Attendant, completing Daily Exceptions Report, other duties as required; may assume additional MOD shifts in the absence (such as vacation) of the Spa Manager.
  • Work with Spa Manager to create, submit and post weekly Esthetician schedule to best meet business and guest (internal and external) needs.
  • Communicate all required Esthetician team member trainings for new/existing Team Members to Spa Manager and assist with training, scheduling, documentation and coordination.
  • Ensure all esthetic protocols are up to date and current at all times; develop new protocols when new services are introduced in cooperation with Spa Management.
  • Conduct monthly inventory of all backbar products and equipment and place orders via Ereq system as needed.
  • Share the Resort Report with Esthetic team during scheduled shifts.
