About The Position

The Master Equipment Technician plays a crucial role in assisting and supporting various functions within the department, subdivision, or project. This position is primarily guided by established policies, procedures, and applicable work practices, allowing the technician to make informed decisions regarding their job duties and responsibilities. The technician is responsible for all aspects of servicing equipment, which includes loading and unloading, diagnosing repair needs, ordering parts, and performing repairs either in the shop or during field calls. The Master Equipment Technician typically reports to the Service Foreman or Supervisor and operates with minimal supervision, often assisting in the training of other equipment technicians. Key responsibilities include performing major (non-routine) service repairs on both customer and company-owned equipment, whether at the branch or in the field. The technician must safely load and unload equipment for transportation and complete necessary paperwork, including work orders, parts orders, billings, and warranty information. Maintaining an orderly work area is essential, as is assisting other technicians in advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution. The technician may also serve as a team leader during major assembly, disassembly, and repairs. Effective communication with customers regarding their repair and service needs is frequent and critical, and the technician must maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards. Additionally, the technician is expected to plan, organize, and carry out assignments as directed while adhering to AMECO's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies. Meeting expectations on attendance and punctuality is also a key aspect of this role, along with other duties as assigned.
