In this position, you will apply your skills to execute industrial controls for a laser driven inertial fusion energy system. The ideal candidate will possess electrical experience in an industrial environment, 2-3 years' experience in installing conduit wire, harness assembly, developing and reading electrical drawings, supporting facilities, electrical engineering departments and other development activities, including high and low voltage equipment, as well as troubleshooting and repairing damaged harnesses and test fixtures. Requirements

  • Licensed Electrician in the state of Colorado.
  • The ability to read and interpret Electrical blueprints, schematics, and ladder logic.
  • Proficient in the use of multimeters, power supplies, and multi-channel oscilloscopes.
  • Experience with high and low voltage safety specifications and wiring standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret designs/schematics and troubleshoot circuit problems.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical installation techniques, equipment, and materials, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to self-delegate tasks from several Engineers.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of electrical principles, codes, governing industrial electrical wiring construction.
  • Must have good people skills with the ability to work as a team.
  • Ability to analyze plan and coordinate work activities.
  • Must be able to multitask and assign priorities.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee of granted asylum

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of SCADA instrumentation and I/O connectivity is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Performs work required for the construction and installation of electrical systems in an industrial environment.
  • Performs work of a skilled variety demanding a high degree of manual and technical competency.
  • Installs fixtures, harnesses, instrumentation, connectors, electrical cabinets, and other electrical equipment, etc.
  • Inspects circuits for specified shielding and grounding.
  • Performs all job duties following all established safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and repair damaged harnesses, test fixtures, and wiring.
  • Document new test procedures and report test results of electrical architecture.
  • Develop, read and interpret electrical designs/schematics and troubleshoot circuit problems.
  • Proficiently use multimeters, power supplies, and multi-channel oscilloscopes.
  • Safely work with high voltage AC/DC power systems.
  • Provide electrical/electronic support to the various engineering teams as needed.
  • Conduct electrical system testing, quality control, and inspections to verify compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Ensure that all electrical work performed is of good workmanship and compliant with current NEC and local codes, regulations, and safety standards governing industrial control systems, laser energy and electrical component installation and operation.
  • Participate in pre-installation meetings and site surveys to assess electrical requirements and develop installation plans.
