The Master Data Specialist will play a crucial role in the management and maintenance of master data within the RMS Operations department of a leading Pharmaceutical services client. This position is responsible for defining and maintaining processes that are designed to collect, integrate, and reconcile ongoing master data requirements. The Specialist will monitor and rectify any quality or completeness issues that arise during the information gathering process, ensuring that all data is accurate and up to date. Collaboration is key in this role, as the Master Data Specialist will work closely with various departments including Operations, Quality Management, and the SAP Competency Center. This collaboration will involve assessing the impacts of proposed master data changes on processes, systems, and personnel. The Specialist will also coordinate with global groups to ensure compliance with Diagnostics data standards and implement master data changes in accordance with established change control processes. In addition to these responsibilities, the Specialist will perform essential SAP Production master data activities, including the creation and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BoMs) and recipes, item numbers, and SAP Material master data. Quality master data creation and maintenance will also fall under the Specialist's purview. Troubleshooting master data issues will be necessary when they arise, and the Specialist will coordinate SAP master data activities with other departments such as Operations Planning, Engineering Support, and Purchasing. Documentation is a critical aspect of this role, as the Specialist will be required to accurately document master data activities according to established formats and write or revise department documents in compliance with business change control processes. Training internal customers on master data Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) will also be part of the Specialist's duties, ensuring that all relevant teams are equipped with the necessary knowledge to manage master data effectively. Other duties may be assigned by management as needed.
