About The Position

The Master Data Governance Manager - Material leads the development, maintenance, and communication of global master data standards, focusing on material/product data across all business lines. Reporting to the Director of IT Master Data, this role ensures data quality, supports business processes, and drives master data initiatives. Domestic and international travel is required. What You'll Do: Own and manage global material master data standards. Collaborate with business partners to define roles and manage enterprise data. Create, enforce, and improve master data policies and procedures. Develop and maintain a long-term Master Data Plan aligned with company strategy. Participate in governance teams and ensure project alignment with master data principles. Lead data modeling and analysis for business and IT initiatives. Build multi-functional teams to enhance data quality and availability. Serve as a domain expert and consultant for master data issues. Partner with IT support teams on system design and development. Monitor and report on data quality benchmarks; remediate data issues. Implement tools to improve data management efficiency. Develop training materials and educate users. Perform administrative duties including reporting and presentations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data/Computer Science, or related field; Master's preferred.
  • 5-6 years of experience in Data Management.
  • Familiarity with material master-related business processes (e.g., Purchasing, Planning).
  • Strong analytical and data mining skills.
  • SAP ERP knowledge required.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead teams and collaborate across departments.
  • Superb communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Advanced understanding of Master Data Governance.
