About The Position

The Master Data Intern will support the cooperative's ongoing data integrity and governance initiatives. This role provides hands-on exposure to SAP S/4HANA, data management workflows, and cross-functional collaboration with departments such as Accounting, Payables/Receivables, Warehouse Operations, Tax, Equity, and Customer Experience. The intern will assist in maintaining accurate and compliant master data records, supporting workflow automation projects, and contributing to process improvement initiatives that strengthen the cooperative's data foundation. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to learn how business operations and technology intersect within a complex, cooperative environment.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education with one year or less from graduation required.
  • Coursework in data management, business systems, or information technology required.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) required.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and responsibilities effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Nice To Haves

  • Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or Data Analytics preferred.
  • Interest in organic agriculture, sustainability, and the cooperative business model preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support master data governance efforts in SAP S/4HANA through collaborative validation and maintenance.
  • Assist in reviewing and documenting master data workflows for customers, vendors, farmers, and materials.
  • Collaborate with IT and business users to identify and resolve data quality issues.
  • Participate in testing and feedback sessions for new automation tools (e.g., Precisely Automate Studio and Evolve, SharePoint).
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to improve data governance frameworks, increase transparency, and streamline operational workflows.
  • Help develop user documentation, training materials, and reporting templates.
  • Gain broader exposure to technology operations by rotating through related IT functions such as Application Support, Infrastructure, and Security.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
