About The Position

Lead a 24/7 master control broadcast operations team responsible for secure transmission, recording, and distribution of multimedia content across federal systems. Oversee live event production, signal routing, encoding, archiving, and compliance with broadcast and cybersecurity standards. Manage a multi-level team, enforcing strict SOP, and serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex signal integrity and systems interoperability challenges.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Must have a minimum of active interim security clearance and ability to obtain/maintain active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Minimum 10+ years in broadcast/master control/NOC management, with 3+ years supervisory experience.
  • Expertise in live media signal workflows, monitoring, switching, routing, distribution, live streaming, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with automation systems, media production, and QC tools
  • Knowledge of SDI, HDMI, Dante, IP-based standards and must possess solid troubleshooting skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in federal government or major TV network broadcast operations.
  • Relevant broadcast and IT industry certifications.
  • Familiarity with CCTV, IPTV, fiber optic transmission, and VTC systems.
  • Experience and skills with editing, graphics, switching, cameras, audio, and live streaming.

Responsibilities

  • Manage shift schedules, briefings, and surge support to ensure 24/7 readiness coverage for live feeds, time-critical ingest, and ad-hoc surge events.
  • Supervise, mentor, and lead team in ensuring operational excellence.
  • Act as senior authority for live feeds, signal flow, switching, transcoding, and multi-platform distribution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve signal issues and ensure quality across HD/SDI, 4K, ST 2110, AES67 standards.
  • Liaise with engineering, IT, cybersecurity teams and clients as needed.
  • Plan secure live streams, remote contributions, and simulcasts. Ensure content compliance and coordinate support services.
  • Lead master control preventative maintenance, system upgrades, and documentation.
  • Ensure SOP and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive automation and workflow enhancements.
  • Produce shift logs, incident reports, weekly summaries, and monthly performance dashboards and participate in quarterly reviews.
