About The Position

NBCUniversal is seeking a dedicated individual to join our Network Operations Center team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and manipulating on-air playlists, executing program/commercial/marketing changes, and supporting live-event and contingency workflows using cutting-edge software like SNELL Morpheus and Amagi. This role requires a solid understanding of television production and broadcast operations, ensuring the continuity of programming and the quality of the viewer experience. The position is fully onsite in Centennial, CO, and requires flexibility to work various shifts, including overnight, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma and relevant certification or Associate's Degree in Media or Communications, or equivalent professional experience in broadcast, digital, or post production role.
  • A solid understanding of television production, broadcast operations, and/or news/sports/entertainment technical production requirements.
  • Must have unrestricted employment authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be willing to work any shift including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manipulate on-air playlists, execute program/commercial/marketing changes, and support live-event and contingency workflows using cutting-edge software.
  • Execute seamless program, commercial, and marketing changes and provide support for live events and contingency workflows.
  • Take ownership of commercial integration, ensuring flawless rolling of commercial breaks during both taped and live programming.
  • Monitor and maintain 150+ channel streams, ensuring continuous availability and identifying any inconsistencies.
  • Confirm the readiness of every piece of material for on-air playout to guarantee programming continuity.
  • Respond to any on-air discrepancies with situational awareness and quick decision-making skills.
  • Simulate the viewer experience, checking for proper audio, video, captioning, and picture quality.
  • Collaborate with Operation Supervisors to recover from any on-air discrepancies.
  • Act as a mentor and subject matter expert by contributing to ongoing peer-to-peer training.
  • Perform all other duties to support the success of the Network Operations Center as assigned.
