About The Position

The City of Falls Church is recruiting a part-time Master Control/Camera Operator for Falls Church Community Television (FCCTV). This position helps record City and School meetings and events and facilitates access producer use of the station during the evening.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills
• Some experience with camera equipment required
• Ability to problem solve for technical issues
• Good customer service
• Professional attire while interacting with the public, officials, and producers

Responsibilities

• Operate video and audio equipment to record public events
• Generate program schedules for cablecast and manage cable channel content
• Assist public access members with field and studio equipment
• Assist high school students and public access producers with troubleshooting software and equipment
• Accommodate studio set up for high school students and public access produc ers
• Ensure that equipment is functional when checked out of and returned to the station by students and public access members
• Answer incoming calls to the station
• Report anomalies in cable channel activity and any technical issues to station management.
