About The Position

Mid-American Pools is a leading pool construction and pool service company in Cincinnati and the greater tri-state region. We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to manage construction projects from inception to completion. We are seeking a highly skilled Master Construction Specialist with deep expertise in all phases of swimming pool construction. This role requires a master-level technician who can independently execute complex tasks involving pool plumbing, electrical systems, equipment installation, automation systems, and structural features. This individual will serve as a lead craftsman, mentor to junior technicians, and quality assurance expert on high-end residential and commercial pool projects.

Requirements

• Be at our facility in Erlanger, KY, M-F, ready to work at 7:00AM, work required overtime.
• Requires ability to ambulate, use of both arms and legs, bending, and lifting tools, materials, and supplies.
• Knowledge, experience, or aptitude for basic plumbing, electrical, construction equipment, and tool use.
• Minimum 3 years of experience (5+ preferred) in swimming pool construction, with verifiable mastery in plumbing, electrical, and equipment installation.
• Deep understanding of pool hydraulics, bonding/grounding, and automation systems (we primarily use Pentair but encounter other brands).
• State electrical or plumbing license is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical manuals.
• Comfortable with handheld tools, construction equipment, and advanced diagnostic tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Execute all aspects of swimming pool construction including plumbing, electrical, equipment installation, automation setup, and final systems testing.
• Interpret construction drawings, equipment schematics, and engineering plans to ensure accurate installation.
• Lead on-site construction crews or subcontractors during technical phases of pool construction.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to hydraulic systems, equipment functionality, automation controls, and system integration.
• Ensure code compliance and safety standards are met on every project (local pool codes, etc.).
• Perform startup and commissioning of pool systems including heaters, pumps, filters, automation, and chemical control systems.
• Maintain excellent workmanship and ensure that projects meet the company’s high-quality standards.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance as needed.
• Communicate project progress and field updates to construction managers and homeowners.
• Support inspections and walkthroughs with homeowners and/or inspectors as needed.
