Day to day as a Driven & Dedicated Automotive Technician As a driven & dedicated automotive technician at Community Automotive Repair, your day-to-day expectations will revolve around providing exceptional service and quality automotive repairs. You'll begin by diagnosing vehicle issues, utilizing your technical expertise to develop repair plans that ensure customer satisfaction. Your tasks will include performing diagnosis, repair, and services on all components with proficiency. Level 3 and 4 technicians often mentor lower level technicians as well. If you happen to be a good teacher, you may be applicable to enter our mentor program and potentially be assigned a mentee as needed. We compensate for efforts as a mentor with our pay structure. You'll be expected to maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used to streamline operations and enhance communication with our team. Collaboration is key, so you'll work closely with fellow mechanics and technicians, sharing knowledge and techniques to improve efficiency and foster a positive work environment. Additionally, staying current with industry trends and best practices will be essential to succeed in this role. Does this sound like you? To thrive as a driven & dedicated Certified Master Automotive Technician at Community Automotive Repair, certain skills and expertise are vital. You'll need to demonstrate proficiency in all automotive components, which includes basic automotive skills, advanced skills, and complex problem solving. Your experience in automotive repair should span 5 plus years, your expertise with using diagnostic tools and equipment for diagnosing and repairing critical systems, including engines, transmissions, drive trains, and other advanced systems like performance upgrades, emissions, light vehicle diesel systems, Hybrid/EVs, and computer systems. Documenting a logical cause-and-effect approach to repairs is crucial for effective communication within the team. State certifications are required, and ASE certifications preferred. If you do not have ASE certifications it is expected to pursue immediately after hiring. Expected production hours per week for Level 3 and 4 technicians typically fall between 40-55 hours per week.
