About The Position

MISSION: To efficiently and safely operate the Master Caster and Air Master Melt Furnaces to consistently produce alloys to meet PCC's metallurgical specifications. To produce vacuum ingots and castings.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of vacuum and air master melt operations and vacuum furnace operations as demonstrated by the competent performance of all Assistant Master Melt Vacuum Furnace Operator duties OR any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow specifications on Technique Cards, Process Control Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and calculate percentages.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member, with limited supervision.
  • Ability to provide work direction and coordinate the work of others.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Physical ability to perform essential job functions.
  • Ability to use computer human interfaces to enter master melt and casting data and build heat requirements.
  • This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency. The U.S. export control regulations define a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), and certain categories of Asylees and Refugees.
