About The Position

The Master Aesthetician provides aesthetic services under the supervision and direction of a provider, which includes suggesting skin care products and treatments that will enhance patients' overall outcomes. The role involves training and educating patients regarding skin care.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited Aesthetician Program.
  • Maintain current Washington State Master Aesthetician license.
  • Current CPR certification for Health Care Providers.
  • At least three months paid work experience in a Dermatology, Facial Plastic Surgery, and/or Aesthetic practice/environment is preferred.
  • One year paid work experience in a medical setting is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on an interdisciplinary team.
  • Thorough knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the skin.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding procedures.
  • Working knowledge of computer programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced training in medical aesthetics and/or LPN.
  • Laser certification.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize skin care equipment, tools, and professional products under the supervision of a physician.
  • Identify and determine patient skin care needs and discuss recommendations with the physician.
  • Perform all phases of skin care in a timely manner.
  • Perform chemical exfoliation, microdermabrasion, makeup application, waxing, and laser services under the supervision of a physician.
  • Act as the Laser Safety Officer, coordinating laser preventative maintenance, safety requirements, and quality assurance.
  • Provide training and education to patients on the treatment and care of their skin.
  • Maintain inventory of skin care products appropriate for the needs of the practice.
  • Maintain a record of physical findings confidentially, accurately, and timely.
  • Responsible for patient photography.
  • Promote product and service sales.
  • Maintain product inventory.
  • Keep up to date on new skin care products and treatments.
  • Educate patients on how to care for their skin before and after surgery.
