The Massage Therapist is responsible for providing massage therapy services, in accordance with the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Body work Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. Massage therapists manipulate clients' soft tissues and joints to treat injuries and promote general wellness. What you will do Demonstrates positive interpersonal relations with members, guests, peers, and the public. Cooperates harmoniously with others in accomplishment of the facility goals, and projects a favorable image of the wellness center. Performs one hour full body massage using guidelines of the NCBTMA Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice and maintains current certification with Virginia Department of Health Professions. Thoroughly explains massage process to client including review of client information, attire for massage, and discussion of any extra instructions after the massage. Creates and updates client information file. Contacts the wellness center to confirm appointments and arrives 15 minutes prior to scheduled appointment. Massage room is cleaned after each appointment, providing a relaxing environment for clientele.
