Requirements

  • Current Massage Therapy License in the State of Maryland (required).
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to create a calming guest experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays is required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during treatments.
  • Ability to perform massage therapy techniques requiring repetitive movements and physical stamina.
  • Capability to lift, move, and carry supplies up to 25lbs when needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous massage therapy or spa experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional massage therapy services to guests in accordance with spa standards and protocols.
  • Customize treatments based on guests' needs, preferences, and health considerations.
  • Create a welcoming, relaxing, and safe environment for every guest.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of treatment rooms, equipment, and supplies.
  • Educate guests on wellness benefits and recommend services or products when appropriate.
  • Communicate clearly with guests before, during, and after treatments to ensure comfort and satisfaction.
  • Support the spa team in delivering a high-quality guest experience.
  • The hotel operates 24/7, requiring department schedules to adapt to varying business demands. Employees may need to work shifts outside their preferred or usual hours.
  • Employees must comply with all hotel-established work rules, procedures, and policies, including those outlined in the employee handbook.
