Massage Therapist (PRN)
About The Position
The Massage Therapist provides relief and relaxation to clients through the use of therapeutic massage. This position assesses each client individually, and develops a plan of action accordingly. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Accurately document and maintain client records and necessary department paperwork in a timely manner. Clean, organize, and maintain work area, and disinfect after treatment. Assess patients' soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength and range of motion and develop a treatment plan. Communicate with patients about their medical histories, problems, and pain, and answer patient questions and concerns. Perform therapeutic massage in a variety of modalities to the soft tissues and joints to provide treatment for medical conditions and injuries.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1 year Massage Experience
- Massage Therapist (MSGTHER) - State Licensing Board
- First Aid (AID) - American Heart Association
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - American Heart Association
- Massage Therapy License/Certification from recongized school (AMTA, OBTA, ABMP)
