About The Position

Starting at $12.00 plus Commission and Gratuity! The position involves performing professional massages for guests of the hotel/casino. The role requires courteous, friendly, and respectful treatment of guests and co-workers, maintaining the appearance of treatment rooms, and ensuring proper setup and cleanliness of massage stations.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 150 hours of certified massage training or equivalent experience
  • City of Reno Massage Therapist License and 1 million dollar liability insurance
  • Ability to maintain 6 CEUs in order to re-license annually
  • Pleasant personality, team-oriented, and enjoy working with and serving people
  • Good communication and physical condition
  • Knowledge of physiology and anatomy
  • Excellent massage techniques and touch
  • Self-motivated and able to work flexible hours

Responsibilities

  • Perform professional massage for guests of the hotel/casino
  • Courteous, friendly and respectful treatment of guests and co-workers
  • Maintain the appearance of the treatment rooms and locker areas
  • Ensure that guest/client is properly draped at all times
  • Check appointments carefully and report to proper room assignments in a timely manner
  • Ensure proper treatment room set-up at the end of each treatment
  • Keep all massage stations properly and fully stocked
  • Ask clients about areas of sensitivity or health problems
  • Determine whether the client/guest has had massage before
  • Keep voices low during massage
  • Show client/guest to proper area and offer a beverage after treatment
  • Point out any noticeable bruising to client/guest before performing a massage
  • Assist Attendants with office duties, inventory, lockers or any other area of the spa when not performing a massage
  • Transport clean and soiled linen to and from the laundry
  • Report any repairs or supply needs to your supervisor
  • Report any injuries of employees or guests to the proper company official immediately
  • Inform and educate guests about treatments, product and hotel services
  • Maintain regular, predictable attendance in accordance with Health Spa policies and procedures
  • Encourage customers to play midway games, explain game objectives, awards prizes and explain rules
  • Exemplify core values, family style service, mission and vision
  • Exemplify DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) culture
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
