About The Position

The Spa at Chetola Resort is seeking professional and experienced Massage Therapists to join our team as 1099 independent contractors. You will provide exceptional therapeutic services in a tranquil, luxury resort setting, ensuring each guest leaves feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and cared for. This is an excellent opportunity for licensed therapists looking to grow their private practice while working with a steady stream of clientele at one of the High Country’s premier spa destinations.

Requirements

• Active North Carolina massage therapy license in good standing.
• Proof of Professional and General Liability Insurance.
• Minimum 1 year of massage therapy experience preferred; resort or spa experience a plus.
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays based on client demand.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional massage services tailored to client needs, including but not limited to Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, and prenatal massages.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism, creating a calm and welcoming environment for guests.
• Ensure treatment rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared before and after appointments.
• Recommend appropriate treatments and educate guests on self-care practices as needed.
• Adhere to all state licensing, sanitation, and infection control requirements.
• Collaborate with the Spa team to support smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
