As a Message Therapist Chiropractic Assistant, you will assist us in fulfilling this goal by administering various therapies, such as deep tissue, Swedish, trigger point, pregnancy/postpartum, acupressure and reflexology techniques. A caregiver in this position works varying shifts from 7:00 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. (Schedule and locations remain the same once established.)

  • Administer therapeutic massage and bodywork modalities, including techniques that provide deep tissue, Swedish, trigger point, stretching, pregnancy/post-partum massage, acupressure, reflexology and hydrotherapy for Chiropractic patients.
  • Administer therapeutic services, including electrical stimulation, therapeutic ultrasound, and stretching and strengthening activities (Under the direction of the chiropractic physician).
  • Work within the Scope of Practice as a Licensed Massage Therapist and an Unlicensed Supportive Personnel under the Ohio Revised Code
  • Interview patients to determine medical history, condition, desired results and appropriate modality.
  • Monitors patient's responses to treatment and adjusts, changes, or terminates treatment based on feedback.
  • Document patient information, interview responses, treatments, feedback, and results.
  • Maintain therapy area in a clean, safe, sterile and Organizational state.
  • Assist patients to safely perform activities related to the development of strength and endurance.
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Graduate of an accredited Massage Therapy Training Program
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) by the state of Ohio
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • One year of experience providing massage services or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
  • Experience working in the medical and/or health care field
  • Cupping or additional knowledge
