About The Position

Dillard University, classified by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education as a balanced Arts and Sciences sciences/ professions institution, located in the culturally rich and diverse city of New Orleans, Louisiana invites qualified applicants to apply for one position of Adjunct Instructor in the Mass Communication program, for the Spring 2026 semester. This is a mass communication adjunct/ part-time position. The appointment is effective January 2026. This position reports to the Chairperson of the School of Humanities.

Requirements

• A master's degree in mass communication or related field from an accredited institution.
• Five (5) years' minimum of professional experience in journalism and/or public relations.
• A commitment to teaching excellence and a demonstrated quality teaching ability.

Responsibilities

• Teaching responsibilities will include up to 6 hours of mass communication courses while ensuring that all the student learning outcomes are achieved.
• Adjunct instructors must also be available to provide guidance and address student concerns outside of the class meeting time.
