About The Position

Opportunities exist for part-time, non-benefited instructors to teach college-level, on-campus Mass Communication classes. Other responsibilities include submitting grades by the established deadlines and other duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean and/or Dean of Humanities, Arts, and Sciences.

Requirements

Master's degree in mass communication, communication, broadcasting, journalism, or a similar degree, or a master's degree with at least 15 graduate credits in marketing, business, management, or a similar degree or a combination of education and equivalent experiences to be reviewed with the application.
Ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups.
Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written communication skills.
Good computer software skills - Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, etc., electronic calendar and Email, and strong Internet familiarity.

Nice To Haves

College teaching experience.
Experience with Blackboard Learning Management System.
Experience with non-traditional teaching methods such as facilitating group work, use of inquiry-based and other active learning, pedagogies, and/or contextualized instruction.
