About The Position

As a Mass Affluent Advice Line Manager (M3), you will step into a true leader-of-leaders role, guiding a team of managers and their advisors in PA within one of the firm’s most dynamic and strategically important organizations. Sitting at the heart of Advice, this role is critical to advancing AWM’s 2030 ambitions by introducing clients to our hybrid advice offering, fostering long‑lasting client relationships, and developing the next generation of financial advisors. Responsibilities: Drives strong advisor line business results across client experience, distribution, operations, and other key metrics. Attracts and develops highly talented leaders and advisors. Delivers a strong impact through workstream responsibilities and other special projects. Cultivates a highly engaged environment and culture for crew. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, provides feedback. Manages key stakeholder relationships with Advice and AWM business partners. Develops and implements changes to departmental policies and procedures to further evolve Mass Affluent Advice. Works closely with other members of management to develop and implement strategic plans. Participates in the development of short and long range strategies for the department. Responds quickly to industry and internal developments. Assesses what should be communicated to the department, and does so in a timely, accurate and effective manner. Determines the most appropriate method of communication, given the nature of the content. Analyzes departmental statistics and prepares status reports. Understands the financial dynamics of the business forecast and proactively manages business segment and headcount appropriately. Periodically works with clients in an advisory/planning role. Provides technical support to team and business in areas of financial planning. Supports financial advisors in analyzing and resolving client issues and developing solutions. Qualifications: Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience, advanced degree preferred. Minimum of five years progressively responsible and related experience (including supervision of others). Certified Financial Planner (CFP License) preferred. Series 7, 63, 66 and 24 licenses or ability to obtain within required timeframe Extensive knowledge of Vanguard investment offerings Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong leadership and personnel development skills Proven ability to identify opportunities and execute solutions both strategically and tactically. Proven ability to develop innovative solutions to complex client situations. Proven ability to successfully develop strong working relationships with staff and management within Vanguard. Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience, advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years progressively responsible and related experience (including supervision of others).
  • Series 7, 63, 66 and 24 licenses or ability to obtain within required timeframe
