General statement of duties: Knowledge of principles, methods, materials, tools, equipment, building codes, and safety practices used in masonry work. Skill and knowledge in installation and repair of masonry work, including stone, brick, block, tile, marble, plaster and concrete. Skill in mixing/tempering lime and cement mortar, mixing/placing concrete and finishing concrete. Knowledge to determine proper foundation conditions and materials to be used. Ability to prepare rough sketches and estimate the cost of masonry work, read and work from working drawings, line furnaces, cut, drill and set marble; keep simple records and make reports; follow directions, instruct and lead unskilled assistants, read and write at a level appropriate to the classification. Effective July 1, 2025, State employees are subject to a salary reduction of three (3) percent in exchange for five (5) hours per month of the Personal Leave.
