About The Position

The Masking/Plating Technician position at Techmetals, Inc. involves performing detailed masking and painting tasks on small parts, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and NOT have dual citizenship.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a steady hand.
• Experience/background in painting/masking.
• Ability to read shop orders, sketches, and schematics.
• Solid basic math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with troubleshooting skills and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to stand, walk on uneven surfaces, bend, twist, reach overhead, and climb stairs.
• Ability to lift 10-40 pounds occasionally during the shift.
• Visual acuity to read documentation and observe parts and processes.
• Hearing capacity to monitor sounds for changes in the environment.

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Art/Painting background.
• Painting/Masking experience.
• Factory or warehouse experience.
• 2-3 years' experience in metal finishing or manufacturing industries.

Responsibilities

• Masking and painting small parts with a steady hand for fine detail work.
• Perform plating tasks as required.
• Read and follow part processing routers for requirements.
• Monitor equipment and record information, data, and counts to maintain accurate processing.
• Package parts to prevent damage as described in documentation and routing.
• Conduct quality inspections and visual checks as required by job specifications.
• Participate in team settings to complete multiple tasks and goals as assigned.
• Provide input on improving tasks being performed.
