About The Position

Eagle Metalcraft in East Syracuse is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Masking & Packing Technician to support our powder coating and shipping operations. This role is responsible for properly masking parts prior to coating and ensuring finished products are carefully packed and prepared for shipment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or powder coating experience is a plus (but not required)
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Dependable with a strong work ethic
Detail-oriented and quality-focused
Team player with good communication skills
Time management and ability to meet production schedules
Basic understanding of tools and materials used in masking/packing (training provided)

Nice To Haves

Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or powder coating experience is a plus (but not required)

Responsibilities

Apply tapes, plugs, and caps to protect specified areas of parts before powder coating
Read and follow work orders, drawings, and masking instructions accurately
Inspect parts for cleanliness and defects prior and after coating
Remove masking materials after coating
Safely package finished parts to prevent damage during transit
Use appropriate packing materials (foam, wrap, boxes, pallets, etc.)
Label packages correctly and prepare them for shipment
Assist with loading/unloading shipments as needed
Inspect parts prior to packaging
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
Work closely with the production and coating team to meet deadlines
Perform basic quality checks on finished parts
