About The Position

Syndeo is hiring a Masker for our client, a leading provider of metal processing and finishing services in the aerospace industry. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity with consistent 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday starting at 6:00 AM in Wellington, Kansas. Position Overview: As a Masker, you will be responsible for precisely applying masking materials to aerospace components in preparation for processes like plating, anodizing, or painting. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints (preferred)
• Comfortable using a scale or ruler with 100th-inch measurements
• Experience working in a manufacturing, aerospace, or precision production environment is a plus
• Must be reliable and punctual with a good work ethic
• Ability to be exposed to the elements as facility is not climate-controlled
• Willingness to work a consistent early schedule (6:00 AM start)

Responsibilities

• Apply masking materials (tapes, plugs, paints, etc.) to protect designated areas of components per work instructions
• Follow detailed specifications and blueprints to ensure accurate masking patterns
• Use precision measuring tools, such as a scale (steel ruler in 100ths of an inch), to verify tolerances as tight as thirty-thousandths
• Inspect parts for accuracy, proper masking, and cleanliness
• Communicate with team members and supervisors regarding discrepancies or quality concerns
• Maintain clean work area and follow safety guidelines at all times
