About The Position
Biggie the Bear Mascot is a high-energy, guest-facing role responsible for bringing Big Bear Mountain Resort’s iconic character to life through engaging, family-friendly interactions that elevate the guest experience. This position embodies the resort’s fun and welcoming brand by performing at events, greeting guests throughout the resort, posing for photos, and creating memorable moments that enhance overall guest satisfaction. The mascot performer must always maintain character integrity, communicate non-verbally with enthusiasm and professionalism, and work closely with the Marketing team to support on-mountain activations, special events, and promotional initiatives, including travel and offsite activations. This is a part-time position. Starting wage between $19.00/hr. - $22.80/hr. depending on experience.
Requirements
- 5’6”- 5’10” height requirement
- Able to interact with people of all ages, pose for photos, and create a fun, positive atmosphere
- Ability to wear a costume for extended periods and perform energetic movements, often in various weather conditions
- Must possess strong non-verbal communication skills to convey emotion and excitement through body language
- Must be Outgoing, enthusiastic, creative, and able to maintain a professional demeanor while in character
- Valid California driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
