Airy is looking for an experienced Maryland State Inspector to inspect vehicles for our Used Vehicle Department. We are a busy shop with plenty of work. We are a small town dealership. Requirements
- Maryland State Inspector's license required
- Must have clean & valid driver's license
- Strong automotive background
- Strong teamwork skills
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
Nice To Haves
- ASE certifications are ideal, but not required
Responsibilities
- Perform Maryland State Vehicle Safety Inspections in accordance with Maryland State Police requirements.
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership processes.
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed.
- Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
- Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
