About The Position

The Martial Arts Instructor position is for evenings, teaching beginners - advanced rank students. ACTIVSTARS allows our Martial Arts Instructors to teach their primary style, utilizing the ACTIVSTARS curriculum guidelines. Our class locations are held year-round, and we are looking for committed and dedicated instructors for long-term positions.

Requirements

• Passion for making a difference in a child's life
• Certified black belt in a 'traditional' based martial art
• Style in Karate, Taekwondo, Kenpo, Kung Fu, or equivalent forms-based martial art
• Knowledge of kata/forms
• Solid technical foundation
• Solid knowledge of self-defense skills
• 18 years of age or older
• Reliable vehicle to get to and from the location(s)

Responsibilities

• Class preparations
• Teaching students
• Overseeing class check-in
• Basic record-keeping
• Promoting tournaments, camps, or clinics
