About The Position

Nice To Haves

• Experience with the ATA curriculum in Taekwondo.
• Previous experience teaching or coaching students in martial arts or other sports.
• Familiarity with behavior management strategies for diverse student groups.
• Military service, particularly Marine Corps experience with MCMAP training.
• Additional experience in complementary activities such as basketball or lifeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging Taekwondo lesson plans for various age groups and skill levels.
• Teach and coach students in Taekwondo techniques, focusing on its development as a sport.
• Lead practice sessions, drills, and sparring activities to prepare students for competition and personal growth.
• Create a supportive, safe, and motivational environment for all students.
• Provide constructive feedback to help students progress and reach their personal best.
• Collaborate with other instructors to enhance the Taekwondo-focused curriculum.
• Promote the core values of martial arts: discipline, respect, perseverance, and sportsmanship.
