Requirements

Proven experience in martial arts instruction, with certification preferred
Strong knowledge of martial arts techniques, safety protocols, and teaching methods
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to motivate and engage participants of diverse backgrounds and ages
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
Reliable, responsible, and committed to creating a welcoming environment
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs and skill levels

Responsibilities

Teach martial arts classes to participants of various age groups and skill levels
Develop and implement lesson plans that promote skill development, discipline, and safety
Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing constructive feedback and encouragement
Ensure a safe and respectful environment during all classes and activities
Maintain equipment and ensure the cleanliness of the training area
Promote YMCA programs and events related to martial arts and fitness
Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages personal growth and confidence
