The Martial Arts Instructor position is for evenings, teaching beginners - advanced rank students. ACTIVSTARS allows our Martial Art Instructors to teach their primary style, utilizing the ACTIVSTARS curriculum guidelines. Our class locations are held year-round, and we are looking for committed and dedicated instructors for long-term positions. Teaching responsibilities include class preparations, teaching students, overseeing class check-in, basic record-keeping, and promoting tournaments, camps, or clinics. Paid training sessions will cover our teaching guidelines, records, and onsite training with a veteran instructor. This is truly one of the most fun part-time jobs you can imagine for great pay!
Requirements
- All applicants must have a Black Belt in a Traditional Forms-Based Style
- Have a passion for making a difference in a child's life.
- Have a certified black belt in a “traditional” based martial art.
- Have a style in Karate, Taekwondo, Kenpo, or equivalent forms-based martial arts.
- Have a solid technical foundation.
- Have solid knowledge of self-defense skills.
- Are 18 years of age or older.
- Have a reliable vehicle to get to and from the location(s).
