About the Role We are seeking a highly technical, execution-focused Martech & CDP Implementation Specialist to support our client engagements by owning the hands-on configuration, QA, and troubleshooting across multiple martech platforms. In this role, you will work under the guidance of our VP, Martech, who sets the data architecture, strategy, and standards for client work. Your primary responsibility is to execute —turning requirements into working data flows, integrations, and platform configurations that deliver measurable outcomes for clients. Contract or Full-Time We are open to contract , contract-to-hire , or full-time , depending on experience and availability. This role is intentionally hands-on and execution-heavy.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in Martech, Marketing Ops, CDP implementation, or Growth Engineering — agency experience is a strong plus.
  • Deep practical experience configuring at least one CDP (Segment preferred).
  • Comfortable debugging JS SDK implementations, API payloads, webhook behavior, and identity stitching.
  • Strong understanding of event design, marketing data models, and customer lifecycle data.
  • Experience integrating CDPs with marketing automation platforms and CRMs.
  • Ability to manage multiple client implementations with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially when explaining technical details to non-technical teammates.

Nice To Haves

  • SQL proficiency and familiarity with ETL/Reverse ETL tools.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary implementer for CDP work across client accounts.
  • Configure CDP platforms (Segment, mParticle, RudderStack, etc.) including sources, destinations, transformations, and identity settings.
  • Work within the Martech team to build and maintain tracking plans, schemas and naming conventions based on provided requirements
  • Perform payload debugging, data QA, and issue resolution to ensure reliable data flows.
  • Connect CDPs to downstream marketing platforms (Customer.io, Iterable, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, SFMC, etc.).
  • Implement field mappings, event triggers, subscription management, and profile enrichment.
  • Troubleshoot data syncs, inconsistent fields, or missing events across systems.
  • Ensure clean, consistent event data flows into analytics stacks (BigQuery, GA4, Snowflake, Looker).
  • Support schema alignment and debugging of discrepancies across systems.
  • Build repeatable QA processes and monitoring frameworks for ongoing data reliability.
  • Work closely with account managers and the VP, Martech to understand client requirements and translate them into actionable implementation tasks.
  • Document configurations, data flows, and tracking plans in client-friendly formats.
  • Participate in client calls as the technical expert when needed (not the primary strategist).
  • Provide post-launch support, optimization, and iterative improvements.
