About The Position
The position involves constant observation of patients to ensure their safety and to actively prevent self-harm or harm to others. The individual will assist in meeting limited patient needs under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Team members are expected to embody Prisma Health's values: Inspire health. Responsibilities include providing 1:1 observation of assigned patients, documenting and reporting any risks or changes, completing safety sweeps for at-risk patients, and ensuring patients are attended to at all times. The role also involves assisting with patient needs such as turning, positioning, feeding, ambulation, and transfers, while maintaining constant observation during activities like bathing and toileting.
