About The Position
The Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) works under the general direction of the Sr. Psychologist, Supv/Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker I in Mental Health Services. The MFT diagnoses and treats mental and emotional disorders within the context of marriage, couples, and family systems, adhering to the applicable Business and Professions Code(s) and license. Incumbents are responsible for referring incarcerated patients to other licensed health care professionals in accordance with standardized procedures. This is a limited term position for 12 months, with the possibility of extension up to 24 months or becoming permanent.
