JOB SUMMARY: The Host is responsible for greeting Guests and making sure they enjoy their premium experience at our resort through: setting expectations, managing check-ins, troubleshooting and resolving Guest situations. Hosts provide exemplary service to Guests and Team Members while maintaining quality and a positive atmosphere. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs concierge duties to provide the ultimate guest experience including, but not limited to; issuing and upgrading all ticket media, validating valet tickets, assisting with general questions, and transportation needs. Utilizes in depth knowledge of the Universal Orlando Resort to provide additional hospitality recommendations. Ensures the highest level of service to Guests through; greeting guests, accommodating guests with special needs, and introducing Guests to their Guide. Remains up to date on premium products and services to maintain expert status in order to better assist Guests and Team Members. Maintains cleanliness and show quality of surrounding areas including but not limited to VIP lobbies, VIP back-of-house offices, and in-park VIP routes and supplies. In a Tour Base Operator capacity, assists with dining reservations, setting up meet and greets, running errands for VIP Guides, communicating with operations partners, and preparing supplies and paperwork for the next day. Practices proper cash handling procedures using credit card transactions. Accurately tracks supply and resource inventory. Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities. Performs other duties as assigned.
