Marketplace Operations Coordinator

OdysseyNew York, NY
4d$60,000 - $80,000Hybrid

About The Position

We are seeking a Marketplace Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of our marketplaces, which serve families participating in state funded education programs. This role ensures smooth vendor participation, accurate product/service offerings, and timely order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable balancing hands-on operational tasks with light data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. You’ll play a key role in providing a seamless platform experience for vendors and ultimately our end users, while making a tangible impact on the business as we scale. This role reports directly to the Marketplace Operations Manager and is a great fit for someone who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments and loves turning ideas into action.

Requirements

  • A strong communicator who’s organized, detail oriented and thrives in fast-moving environments.
  • 2+ years of experience in ecommerce or logistics operations, or similar fields.
  • You’ve worked with vendors or external partners before, or as a vendor on a third party marketplace, and know how to balance accountability and strong relationships
  • A proactive problem-solver who brings structure, clarity, and calm to chaos.
  • Collaborative and kind. You care deeply about team success, not just your own.
  • Excited about Odyssey’s mission and motivated by work that makes a real-world impact.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively reach out to vendors regarding unfulfilled orders, delays, missing information, or quality issues
  • Act as the primary point of contact for any and all vendor escalation and support needs - owning problems from first signal through resolution
  • Clearly communicate expectations, timelines, and next steps with vendors to maintain strong, trust-based partnerships
  • Review and audit vendor applications for eligibility and compliance with state-specific program rules and regulations
  • Evaluate and approve product and services listings to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with program guidelines
  • Regularly monitor marketplace content to identify, flag and remove outdated, inaccurate, or non-compliant listings
  • Partner with internal teams to resolve listing discrepancies efficiently and prevent repeat issues
  • Track outstanding orders from placement through fulfillment, identifying risks and intervening before issues escalate
  • Follow up with vendors to ensure service-level expectations are met
  • Provide timely status updates to stakeholders on fulfilment timelines, delays, and risks
  • Spot breakdowns in operational workflows and recommend improvements

Benefits

  • Medical/Dental/Vision plan(s)
