About The Position

The Marketplace Barista at Grand Traverse Resort and Spa is responsible for providing superior service to guests by mixing coffee drinks and handling sales in a multi-purpose resort sundry store. The role requires adherence to sanitation rules and regulations, as well as maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and safety. The barista will serve a variety of products including coffee, deli sandwiches, and bakery goods, while ensuring customer satisfaction and effective communication with supervisors.

Requirements

• Basic computer knowledge is required
• Prior cash register and cash handling experience is preferred
• Must be 17 years of age
• Prior barista or bartending experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Serve coffee products, deli sandwiches, bakery goods, and all other outlet products to guests
• Follow recipes and mix an assortment of coffee drinks
• Follow all sanitation rules and regulations for marketplace
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks
• Manage own cash, bank key, and gift certificates
• Balance shift ending paperwork and daily cash drop
• Complete all assignments requested of you
• Maintain a high standard of sanitation and safety
• Minimize waste and spoilage by proper rotation, storage, and usage of all food items
• Adhere to grooming and dress standards set forth by the Employee Handbook
• Clean and sanitize own area
• Maintain open line of communication with supervisor
• Understand and abide by environmental practices of the resort
• Perform other duties as assigned
