Horizon Hobby LLC is seeking a highly analytical and data-driven Marketplace Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in optimizing our presence and performance across various online marketplaces [e.g., Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Etsy, internal platform, etc.]. You will leverage data to identify trends, pinpoint opportunities for growth, and provide actionable insights that directly impact on our sales and profitability. The final offer for this position will be based on the unique experience and qualifications of the candidate selected. This position may also be eligible for a bonus not included in the base pay range.

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) across all designated marketplaces, including sales, traffic, conversion rates, advertising spend, and profitability.
  • Extract, clean, and organize large datasets from various marketplace platforms and internal systems.
  • Proactively identify emerging trends, market shifts, competitive activities, and consumer behavior patterns that impact marketplace performance.
  • Develop and recommend data-backed pricing strategies and promotional campaigns to maximize sales and margin.
  • Analyze marketplace advertising campaign performance (e.g., Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands) and provide recommendations for optimization to improve ROI.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to optimize inventory levels and ensure efficient fulfillment, leveraging marketplace data.
  • Create clear, concise, and compelling reports and dashboards to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels.
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, product, and operations teams to align marketplace strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Continuously monitor changes in marketplace algorithms, policies, and best practices.
  • 2+ years of experience in a data analysis role, preferably within an e-commerce, marketplace, or retail environment.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables), Google Sheets.
  • Experience with marketplace platforms (e.g., Amazon Seller Central, Vendor Central, Walmart Seller Center, eBay Seller Hub) is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence/visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio) is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of e-commerce metrics and their drivers (e.g., conversion rate, ACoS, RoAS, OOS).
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
