About The Position

The Marketing Technology Product Owner at Golden 1 Credit Union is responsible for maximizing the value derived from marketing technology platforms. This role involves creating and managing roadmaps, collaborating with IT and cross-functional teams to implement necessary technology infrastructure for personalized marketing campaigns, and ensuring the right tools are utilized to meet marketing objectives. The Product Owner will also support strategic and operational projects, focusing on product design and development to enhance marketing capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Technology or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years in Marketing Technology, Digital Marketing or Product Marketing with direct experience implementing and managing platforms.
  • Product owner certification preferred.
  • Strong technical marketing infrastructure implementation skills and deep martech experience.
  • Understanding of integrations and data architecture in marketing technology ecosystem.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and the product development lifecycle.
  • Ability to create and maintain product roadmaps, write clear user stories, and prioritize features.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, customer lifecycle, customer segmentation, and marketing funnels.
  • Familiarity with SEO, email marketing, content management, social media marketing, and analytics tools.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage advanced marketing technology platforms to enable data-driven, personalized cross-sell campaigns.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement technical infrastructure for automated consumer and member journey campaigns.
  • Use data to understand member needs and inform product design and development decisions.
  • Evaluate new marketing technologies and platforms, making recommendations for adoption or upgrades.
  • Ensure seamless integration of marketing tech tools with other business systems.
  • Drive marketing technology discussions and work closely with business stakeholders on requirements.
  • Monitor martech platform usage, identify pain points, and drive continuous improvements in processes.
  • Participate in agile product management environment including agile ceremonies and work items.
  • Consider the entire marketing experience from acquisition to loyalty to provide a positive experience and input on platform vision and strategies.
  • Maintain understanding of state and federal laws related to credit union compliance.
