About The Position

The Marketing Specialist will collaborate with the Marketing, Communications, and Business Development, internal clients, and external resources, such as agency partners, to create and broad range of integrated marketing strategies to support the organization's goals and brand awareness initiatives. Projects will vary in work and scope.   Responsibilities: Carrying out the Company's organizational values and operating in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies are required functions. Requirements

  • Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Course(s) of Study: Marketing, advertising, public relations, journalism, or related field of study
  • Experience: 3-5 years
  • Must be able to commit to Ruan's value statement by acting with integrity in everything we do.
  • Must be able to meet behavioral expectations and perform in alignment with our guiding principles: safety, people, customer, performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Candidate must have knowledge of marketing, advertising, and public relations and their role in the business. Individual must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have the ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions, set priorities, and accomplish duties of position with little supervision and direction. Strong computer skills are also needed with an emphasis on desktop publishing and graphic software. Candidate must approach day to day tasks with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Must be able to operate office equipment; including telephone, personal computer, work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, as required to perform essential functions. Must present neat, clean, and professional appearance of self and use proper business etiquette.

Nice To Haves

  • Supply Chain, Customer Service, or other related experience. Previous transportation industry and TMS expertise across different modes of transportation and familiarity with transportation processes from planning to freight audit and payment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize digital marketing tactics, such as search engine optimization, marketing database, email, social media, and other digital channels for recruiting campaigns. These campaigns must generate engagement, awareness, and applications for Ruan's open positions.
  • Maintain day-to-day responsibilities and workflows to ensure campaigns are scheduled to start and stop as planned. Process invoices timely and accurately.
  • Coordinate and negotiate media buying efforts, including placement and tracking.
  • Measure the performance of digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (Return on Investment and Key Performance Indicators).
  • Keep up with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement tools.
  • Create email marketing campaigns with internal tools that advertise Ruan's open positions.
  • Report on social media metrics and coordinate the creation of the content calendar.
  • Research and connect with internal partners to understand Ruan's services to create messaging and content for social media, ruan.com, and external sites that resonates with prospective team members and partners.
  • Perform market research on competitors and create valuable and powerful messaging in ads.
  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
