About The Position

Standard Electric Supply Co. is a family-owned company that is celebrating 106 years of service. We are a wholesale distributor of electrical and automation supplies. We have 16 locations across Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana. We are looking for a creative and organized individual to help us deliver Gold Medal Customer Service by managing events and overseeing our social media marketing initiatives. Our Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing long- and short-range social media marketing plans and managing internal and external events. If you have prior event planning and social media experience, a keen eye for detail and are a strong communicator, you may be the candidate we are looking for! The salary range for this position is between $50,00-65,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as physical work location within the state.

Requirements

  • An associate or bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Advertising Communications or a related Business field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Social Media Marketing and Event Planning.
  • Experience creating marketing campaigns and programs to promote events.
  • Social Media content calendar management and account management for Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Creating social media content using Hub Spot or similar programs.
  • Adobe Creative Suite experience.
  • Ability to perform in a fast paced, multi-project work environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and well organized.

Nice To Haves

  • Video experience is a plus.
  • Marketing Automation and CRM experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, promote and execute the marketing plan for events, including but on limited to trade shows, training and seminar classes customer networking events (gold outings, tailgates etc.). Provide onsite event coordination and support before, during and after the event.
  • Plan and manage all event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, contract negotiation, travel, catering, AV setup, signage, and décor.
  • Evaluate campaign effectiveness in terms of sales results and other advertising benefits derived from campaigns. Assess the return on investment and make recommendations for other campaigns.
  • Adhere to a budget and oversee big processes. Communicate with vendors to ensure proposed costs are met or to resolve discrepancies.
  • Manage our brand presence on social media platforms with consistent, fresh and compelling content and messaging to maximize all channels. Maintain a quality control process, ensuring all social media platforms have uniformity and are on brand.
  • Work with supplier partners to ensure the appropriate product is featured in social media campaigns.
  • Report on social media metrics and provide analysis of marketing goals, adjusting the social strategy as new tactics emerge.
  • Write and edit short and long form content for a variety of sources, including website content, advertisements, blog posts, internal newsletters and more.
