About The Position

Coordinates and implements marketing projects and strategies to achieve organizational goals and objectives of Coast360 Federal Credit Union. Responsible for coordinating and executing marketing and community development initiatives, including research and report creation, and general marketing assistance. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following job functions. Other job functions may be assigned from time to time. The job functions contained herein are intended to be supplemented by “Strategic Planning Goals” which describe various individual tasks associated with such functions.

Requirements

  • Must have basic knowledge of marketing methodology, marketing research, event planning and coordination, writing, copy editing, and proof reading.
  • Utilizes interpersonal skills effectively in a team environment.
  • Creative and self-motivated, with the ability coordinate, produce and deliver an effective marketing program in support of the marketing strategic plan.
  • Displays leadership ability plus a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
  • Associates Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field. Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • A high school or general equivalency diploma (GED) is required; plus one year or more of related marketing and sales culture business environment; or any equivalent combination of formal training and/or experience which provides the minimum knowledge, skills and abilities, thereof.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write media/communication and routine correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before members, the community, or employees of the credit union.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
  • Ability to solve practical problems.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and tools such as postage machine, fax machine, telephones, photocopier, typewriter, and utilize appropriate versions of current computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office, CRM, and MCIF).
  • Familiarity with any federal, state, and/or local law and regulations related to lending (e.g., Regulation B, Regulation Z, Real Estate Settlement Procedure Act, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Equal Housing Lending, Fair Credit Reporting Act, etc).
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands and finger to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually from quiet to moderate.
  • The mental demands necessary to competently perform this job include the need to routinely use spatial perception; to frequently use problem solving, basic numeric calculations, persuasiveness, and initiative; to continually be alert, precise, resourceful, reasonable, and patient.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management Collaborates with Marketing Manager and Sr. Marketing Officer to develop and implement a strategic communication plan that supports the mission, vision, and business objectives.
  • Coordinates and executes the credit union’s advertising and promotion activities including print, electronic and direct mail pieces to include coordinating placement of advertisements in radio, television and print ads.
  • Writes or coordinates marketing content/copy for marketing promotions to include web, email and other communication channels as necessary.
  • Ensures marketing collateral and campaign training is executed effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Maintains credit union digital communication platforms, including website, CODIGO and ATMs.
  • Ensures marketing messages for member statement, and electronic statements are done in a timely manner.
  • Community Development Coordinates the credit union’s community and sponsor events.
  • Provides reports on community involvement efforts.
  • Monitors and tracks activities.
  • Recommends sponsorship, donations and advertising exposure.
  • Attends credit union and community events outside regular operational hours.
  • Develops promotional opportunities and ideas from conception through to delivery.
  • Researches, develops, and implements lesson plans/educational programs within local schools, colleges and universities.
  • Delivers presentations and speeches, formally and/or informally, to various groups of people in an organization, school, or trade shows.
  • Keeps abreast of new and emerging community events that match organizational goals.
  • Research & Reports Prepares and compiles marketing reports to utilize in marketing campaign planning and track/analyze the effectiveness of marketing efforts (ie. ROI, demographics, market segments, etc.).
  • Tracks responses to marketing initiatives and research marketing tactics of competitors.
  • Gathers information and forecasts expenses for budgetary purposes in each marketing activity.
  • Tracks website and social media analytics for reporting to Marketing Manager.
  • Conducts market, product and cost analysis, rates and member surveys.
  • Other Duties Maintains knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance in marketing, advertising, products and services, and field of membership requirements.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss marketing plan and future objectives of marketing goals.
  • Complies with Coast360 Federal Credit Union’s branding guidelines and credit union regulations.
  • Works directly with internal and external suppliers, assisting in commissioning and delivery of marketing material.
  • Maintain Marketing Team files with current print and media samples related to campaigns/promotions.
  • Cross-sells credit union products and services.
  • Performs other duties as might be assigned from time to time.
