The Marketing Specialist is responsible for designing, creating, and developing marketing materials, including public relations; sales literature; client success stories; social media and website management; graphic design; editorial articles for credit union publications; conferences; advertising; and more. Interfaces with various internal departments as well as clients; performs research for written materials, proofs and ensures completeness and accuracy on all materials. They may also be asked to collect data, forecast trends, and assist with event planning. A successful Marketing Specialist will understand the importance of confidentiality, stay up-to-date with style guides and marketing trends, and possess excellent communication, time-management, and organizational skills. The ideal candidate for this position will be a strong writer and graphic designer, have excellent administrative and software skills, and experience with relevant technology.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of similar or related experience. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Canva.
  • A bachelor’s degree or 2 – 4 years’ experience in marketing or public relations.

Nice To Haves

  • Credit union industry knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and vendor partners to develop and maintain marketing materials for company initiatives and sales use, such as product briefs.
  • Interview clients and craft client success stories to be published/shared with prospects.
  • Prepare, research, and write articles related to our clients, KeyStone, and Corelation for press releases, client-facing newsletter, company website, and other editorial publications.
  • Maintain consistent brand voice and design style across all marketing messaging.
  • Develop and execute creative ideas for marketing campaigns, including designing content for social media, graphic design, company website, events, email marketing, and more.
  • Assist with event planning activities; design and produce event and sponsorship graphics.
  • Possesses necessary time management skills to meet all project timelines/deadlines. Write, proofread, and edit creative and technical content for sales use.
  • Coordinates the printing of marketing materials, promotional items, product briefs, notepads, press releases and any promotional items needed for sales and marketing purposes.
  • Solves arising problems using sound judgement and experience.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
