About The Position

The Marketing & Sales Coordinator at Rapids Water Park is a full-time role focused on enhancing the park's digital marketing efforts and supporting sales initiatives. This position involves creating and managing social media content, maintaining website information, and ensuring a smooth booking experience for group events. The ideal candidate is a creative self-starter with a passion for marketing and a strong understanding of social media platforms.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications including Word and Excel.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Ability to work varied shifts including evenings, holidays, overnight events, and weekends.
  • Maintain positive relationships and work effectively with all internal and external constituencies.
  • Proactive, goal-oriented, and can-do attitude.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field preferred.
  • Proven working experience in digital marketing, particularly within the tourism industry.
  • Experience with website content management in Wordpress with Divi Builder.
  • Familiarity with Constant Contact.
  • Experience with social media platforms and their best practices.
  • Google Analytics experience and/or certification.
  • Familiarity with Asana or other project management software.
  • Familiarity with social media monitoring and scheduling tools such as Hootsuite, Sprout, or Meltwater.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and monitor social media content for Rapids Water Park, including capturing and editing in-park content for platforms like Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and X.
  • Analyze social media content to ensure best practices and maximize reach.
  • Maintain and update website content, including event information and sales messaging.
  • Provide analysis of website metrics using Google Analytics to facilitate necessary changes based on site traffic and conversions.
  • Fulfill online group and birthday booking requests, ensuring smooth guest experiences.
  • Support the Marketing & Sales team with group and event booking fulfillment in-park, including confirmations and on-site check-ins.
  • Assist with in-house content development for ads, flyers, and other promotional materials using Canva or similar programs.
  • Administer the Non-profit ticket request program and explore community engagement opportunities.
  • Perform various reporting and administrative functions for the Marketing and Finance Departments.
