About The Position

The Marketing and Resident Experience Specialist at American Campus Communities is responsible for maximizing revenue and driving occupancy through strategic marketing and leasing efforts. This role involves balancing marketing initiatives with comprehensive leasing responsibilities, enhancing resident engagement, and overseeing community events to create a vibrant living environment. The specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring high occupancy and retention rates by providing exceptional customer service and executing effective leasing processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a similar field preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in leasing, marketing, or sales.
  • Experience in reading, analyzing, and interpreting business correspondence and leasing documents.
  • Experience writing routine reports and correspondence.
  • Prior experience in the student housing industry preferred.
  • Social media management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize revenue and drive occupancy through marketing efforts and exceptional customer service.
  • Execute the leasing process for prospective residents, including appointments, leads, tours, and follow-ups.
  • Conduct informative property tours for potential prospects and address their needs to close the tour.
  • Maintain accurate prospect traffic and leasing data in required systems and complete administrative tasks for move-ins and move-outs.
  • Assist with office administrative tasks, including package management.
  • Coordinate planning and implementation of lease-up events and resident programs.
  • Execute established sales and marketing strategies to increase property traffic and achieve budgeted occupancy and revenue.
  • Create and post engaging social media content for company channels.
  • Audit property websites and digital channels for accuracy and visual standards.
  • Produce and submit required reporting to supervisor and support teams for approval.
  • Coordinate room assignments and roommate matching as needed.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and community leaders.
  • Stay knowledgeable of market trends and performance.
