About The Position

The Marketing Representative at Houston Hospice is responsible for driving referrals and admissions by engaging with healthcare referral sources and community organizations. This role is crucial in promoting hospice services and ensuring that the organization meets its census goals. The representative will cover specific territories in Houston and will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to enhance community awareness and understanding of hospice care.

Requirements

• Proven track record of medical sales experience.
• Two years of experience in healthcare marketing is strongly preferred.
• Hospice experience preferred.
• Ability to handle detailed and confidential information.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including infrequent evenings and weekends.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, and oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to accommodate multi-faith beliefs and cultural backgrounds of patients/families.
• Superior presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, build, and manage relationships with community referrals.
• Generate contacts through coordinating community-based events.
• Communicate hospice values within targeted communities.
• Collaborate with provider partners, community and state agencies, hospitals, and SNFs to provide education.
• Develop and implement educational programs regarding hospice care.
• Adhere to organizational compliance and privacy programs.
• Assist in providing service that aligns with the organization's mission, values, vision, and goals.
• Initiate and maintain new contracts with various healthcare organizations.
